Product Information

We authenticate every piece through multiple methods:

  • Examining labels, tags, and maker's marks
  • Analyzing construction techniques and materials
  • Verifying period-appropriate details and design elements
  • Researching brand history and production methods
  • Consulting with specialists for high-value or rare pieces

If we cannot verify a piece's authenticity with confidence, we do not sell it.

We primarily focus on items from the 1920s through the 1990s, with particular emphasis on the 1950s-1970s. These decades represent the golden age of American menswear and the peak of quality clothing production. We select pieces that exemplify the best design and craftsmanship of their era.

Vintage sizing differs significantly from modern sizing. We provide:

  • Exact measurements for every garment (chest, waist, inseam, etc.)
  • Tagged size (original manufacturer size)
  • Modern size equivalent when applicable
  • Fit notes (slim, regular, relaxed)

Always refer to the measurements rather than the tagged size. Our detailed photos show how items drape and fit.

We grade items honestly:

  • Excellent: Minimal wear, looks nearly new
  • Very Good: Light wear consistent with age, no significant flaws
  • Good: Normal wear, may have minor imperfections, fully functional
  • Fair: Noticeable wear or flaws, clearly documented

We document any imperfections with detailed photos and descriptions. Some vintage wear adds character and is expected.

We publish new capsule collections every 2-4 weeks. Each collection is carefully curated around a theme, era, or aesthetic. Sign up for our newsletter to get early access to new drops and be notified when specific items you're interested in become available.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns are handled through Etsy's standard return policy. Generally, we accept returns within 7 days of delivery if the item is not as described. The item must be unworn and in the same condition as received. Please contact us through Etsy before initiating a return. Due to the vintage nature of these items, we carefully inspect and photograph everything, but we understand that fit and expectations can vary.

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of vintage items, direct exchanges are usually not possible. However, if you need to return an item, you can purchase another piece from our shop. We're always happy to help you find the right fit or style—just reach out before purchasing.

If an item is not as described or arrives damaged, we cover return shipping. For other returns (wrong size, change of mind, etc.), the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked shipping method and insurance for valuable items.

Care & Maintenance

Vintage items require thoughtful care:

  • Dry clean wool and tailored items
  • Hand wash delicate fabrics in cold water
  • Air dry flat when possible
  • Use wooden hangers for structured garments
  • Store in breathable garment bags
  • Keep away from direct sunlight

Each listing includes specific care recommendations for that item.

Yes, most vintage items can be altered, but it's best to consult with a tailor experienced in vintage clothing. Some alterations (hemming, taking in the waist) are straightforward. Others (letting out seams, lengthening) may be limited by the original construction. We recommend finding a tailor who appreciates vintage construction techniques.

We recommend using a dry cleaner who specializes in or has experience with vintage clothing. Let them know the approximate age of the garment and any specific concerns. Avoid aggressive cleaning methods. For items like vintage wool sweaters or delicate silks, hand cleaning with specialized wool wash is often better than dry cleaning.

Styling & Curation

While we can't guarantee finding specific items, we're always happy to keep an eye out for pieces our customers are seeking. Send us a message with details about what you're looking for (era, style, size, budget) and we'll let you know if something comes through our sourcing channels. No obligation to purchase.
